We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and service. This role involves supporting the management team in daily operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant or establishment
* Supervise and train staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
* Manage food preparation and production processes, maintaining high standards of quality
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards
* Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly
* Support team management by scheduling shifts and coordinating staff activities
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and improve service offerings
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels
* Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration
Experience
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality, restaurant, cafe/deli sector is essential
* Culinary, beverage and barista experience is highly desirable, with skills in food preparation and cooking
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices
* Experience in team management, demonstrating strong leadership abilities
* Background in serving or barista roles is an advantage
* Previous experience in hotels or similar establishments will be beneficial
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer experiences
