Teaching Assistants
for
September 2025 .
We are seeking candidates who can confidently support students with
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) ,
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs ,
Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
and
complex behaviours that challenge. This is a
full-time, term-time only
position with long-term potential. About the Role: Supporting students with ASC, PMLD, SLD, and behavioural needs on a 1:1 or small group basis Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver tailored support Helping students develop communication, independence, and social skills Ideal Candidates Will Have: Experience working with children or young people with autism and SEMH needs Confidence in supporting complex behaviours Knowledge or training in: PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Makaton Team Teach
or
MAPA
(or similar de-escalation and behaviour support training)
