We have an exciting opportunity within the Catering department, working as a chef at Royal Hampshire County Hospital - Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking applications from qualified, experienced chefs who can demonstrate practical experience and knowledge of allergens and nutritional content, with experience working in a busy production kitchen.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week, with part-time options of 30+ hours considered. Work involves a shift pattern between 6.30 am and 7.00 pm, Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate will work some weekends on a 4-week rota, with enhancements paid for weekend shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities include:
1. Preparation and cooking of dishes from fresh ingredients
2. Ensuring all dishes are properly cooked and attractively presented
3. Preparing meals according to forecasted amounts, exercising proper portion control
4. Assisting with function catering as needed
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a chef role within a quality-driven establishment, be motivated, passionate about food and quality, and able to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
This role is only open to applicants currently working within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
