Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a flexible temporary opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers with our client in Bournemouth.
As part of this role, you will be completing deliveries in an HGV Class 1 Vehicle. Unloading will be completed with a pallet truck or by the customer at the delivery site. The typical amount of drops is 6-7 and night shifts are usually a single drop at a pallet hub in the midlands.
Position: HGV Class 1 Driver
Days: Monday-Sunday (flexible)
Start time: 07:00 AM (night trunk shifts are also available, 18:00 start)
Start date: ASAP
Location: Bournemouth
Pay Rate: £17.37 (basic) – £19.61 (nights) – £20.73 (weekends) – £25 night-out allowance (for tramping work). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.
As a HGV Driver you MUST have:
1. a valid UK Class 1 HGV driving licence
2. a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
3. a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
4. your own transport to get to and from work
5. no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
6. Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
7. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
8. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
9. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
10. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
