Finsbury Food Group is one of the UK’s leading speciality bakery manufacturers. We continually raise quality, innovation, and operational standards while building long‑term, trusted relationships across retail, foodservice, and brand partnerships. Our portfolio spans a wide range of bakery categories—from market‑leading retailer own‑brand products to beloved licensed and branded ranges—produced across our nationwide network of bakeries.
This is an exciting time to join us. With an ambitious brand growth agenda and a packed pipeline of development activity across our key categories, you will play a vital role in leading the marketing strategy, overseeing execution, and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
This is what you’ll actually do!
In this role, you will develop and own the overall marketing strategy, ensuring it aligns with wider business objectives. You will lead the creation of annual marketing plans and campaigns, enhancing the yearly campaign planner through integrated marketing communications and tactics across both online and offline channels. You will provide strategic input to the executive team on market positioning, growth opportunities, and competitor insights, while identifying new business opportunities, market trends, and customer insights to drive innovation. You will also oversee the execution of key marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging and brand positioning across all internal and external platforms.
As a Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement an integrated communications and branding strategy for both internal and external audiences. This includes overseeing brand strategy and corporate messaging to ensure consistency across all channels, managing corporate reputation, and ensuring alignment between internal and external communications. When required, you will act as a key spokesperson for the business, representing the brand at industry events. You will coordinate group‑wide campaigns across multiple platforms and stakeholders, lead the end‑to‑end planning and delivery of national and international trade shows to maximise brand visibility and ROI, and manage budgets, suppliers, contracts, and logistics to deliver seamless communications.
This role requires close collaboration across the business. You will partner closely with commercial and sales teams to drive demand generation and customer engagement, ensuring cohesive brand representation across marketing, sales, product, and design. You will work with finance to manage budgets, measure ROI, and support forecasting, align with procurement on supplier partnerships, and collaborate with IT and data teams to leverage technology, automation, and analytics. You will also work with NPD and innovation teams to showcase innovation pipelines and consumer trends, positioning the business as a thought leader, while partnering with People Team to develop and implement employer branding and internal communications. In addition, you will source and manage external agency partnerships to support delivery and budget efficiency.
You will drive digital growth and transformation across the marketing function, leveraging AI, automation, and data‑led insights. This includes leading SEO, paid media, content, and social strategies, optimising the end‑to‑end customer journey across multiple channels, and continuously monitoring performance metrics to refine and adapt strategies for maximum impact.
At a senior level, you will engage with key stakeholders across the business, partnering with leadership to align marketing strategies with business priorities. You will present insights, performance updates, and strategic recommendations to the board and executive team, while building strong relationships with industry bodies, media, and external partners to strengthen brand visibility and reputation.
