What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Management Accounting team. You will work in the Revenue reporting team in Liverpool, working on Revenue reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified or newly qualified Finance Analyst to gain valuable experience in Management Accounting.
This will be a hybrid working role with an expectation to be in the office 2 days per week.
As Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others
* Extracting revenue data from source systems to collate/review and post revenue and accruals, contributing to the collation of Revenue data for regulatory returns and Audit
* Reconciliation of revenue postings to cash received with timely follow up on anomalies, updating reconciliations for control frameworks and files provided to auditors.
* Preparation of respective monthly balance sheets reconciliation, formatting large data sets into professional excel reports and providing commentary.
* Liaise closely with the other finance personnel/operational teams to ensure that information is recorded and presented accurately and within deadlines.
* Contribute to the review of team tasks, identifying improvements with a view to building efficient processes. Participate in, and contribute to, any ad-hoc project-related work where necessary.
* Adopt a high-quality culture to minimise errors and ensuring high quality service levels are delivered. Ensuring all work is completed with a high level of accuracy, escalating to manager or relevant department where necessary.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should
* Newly qualified Accountant or experienced part qualified - ACCA/CIMA
* Experience gained working in a management accounts team essential
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Minimum basic Word, advanced Excel & intermediate PowerPoint
* Strong Interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate well both written and verbally to senior audiences and an ability to work well in a team and comfortable to work individually.
* Demonstrate an ability to understand and summarise complex information in a professional and concise manner, high levels of accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to solve problems quickly.
Desired
* Experience within a financial services institution is advantageous but not essential.
