At Aberdeen, our ambition is to be the UK’s leading Wealth & Investments group.

Strengthening talent and culture is one of our strategic priorities. We strive to make Aberdeen a great place to work so that we can attract and retain the industry’s best talent.

Our people put our stakeholders at the heart of everything they do by helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of our clients, customers, colleagues, shareholders, and society.

We are focused on growing our direct and advised wealth platforms and repositioning our specialist asset management business to meet client demand. We are committed to providing excellent client service, supported by leading technology and talent.

Aberdeen comprises three businesses: interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each focusing on meeting and adapting to our clients’ evolving needs:

* interactive investor, the UK’s second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
* Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
* Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager focusing on areas where we have strength and scale to capitalize on key market themes, through public markets or alternative asset classes.

About the Department

The Technology function oversees all information systems and technology capabilities, including system design, network planning, budget, database management, and operations.

We are seeking a proactive and agile Business Analyst to join our Client Tribe, working with the tribe to deliver excellent digital experiences for clients and colleagues. The tribe comprises three squads managing technology across the full client value chain, from marketing and sales to onboarding and service.

About the Role

This role focuses on supporting the delivery of client data across the firm, which is pivotal to our strategy and enabling the business and client. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data solutions built on our Snowflake data warehouse meet the needs of clients, distribution, product, and investment teams.

You will collaborate with data engineers, technical leads, product owners, and reporting teams to define requirements, validate data outputs, and improve reporting quality and usability. This role requires a flexible, driven individual to help shape the future of the client experience at Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs related to client data.
* Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for the data engineering team.
* Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data accessibility.
* Maintain documentation of data definitions, business rules, and reporting logic to support transparency and governance.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of Agile practices, participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
* Identify opportunities to reuse functionality, simplify processes, and leverage configuration to accelerate delivery.
* Utilize AI and automation to enhance analyst roles and share best practices.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or asset management.
* Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
* Focus on usability, clarity, and business value from end-user perspectives.
* Experience working in Agile teams with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret investment data and identify trends.
* Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel dashboards, and SQL and Python for data querying and validation.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer. If you have a disability and wish to apply under the scheme, please notify us in the candidate questionnaire. Our team will support you through the application process.

Our environment offers learning, involvement, and support. Joining us means access to competitive benefits, including 40 days’ annual leave, a 16% pension contribution, discretionary bonuses, private healthcare, and flexible benefits like gym discounts, season ticket loans, and employee discounts. More details about our benefits can be found on our website.
