Trainee welder/fabricator

Trainee Welder/Fabricator | Alresford, Essex | Full Time | £10.00 per hour

Our client is a manufacturer of children's play equipment, with their factory based in Alresford, just outside Colchester, Essex.

They do not mass-produce products – all items are made to order and selected by their clients from a wide range of popular and bespoke designs.

They are seeking a Trainee Fabricator/Welder who is eager to develop their skills further. The role would ideally suit an NVQ Level 2 student or someone with equivalent experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and grow your fabrication and welding skills within a hands-on, full-time role at a company that values quality craftsmanship and individual development.

Are you the right person for the job?

* Ideally suited to an NVQ Level 2 student or someone with similar experience
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
* Can read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
* Able to work accurately and follow instructions
* Interest in developing fabrication and welding skills
* Own transport recommended due to rural location (public transport available within walking distance)

What will your role look like?

1. MIG welding steel components (2mm–10mm thickness)
2. Operating fabrication machines such as tube benders and saws
