A+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the healthcare distribution sector to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to take ownership of financial operations across multiple entities within a complex, multinational group structure.

The successful candidate will report to the Finance General Ledger Lead and support the finance function for five entities within the Clinical & Commercial Pharma Division. The role offers a mix of hands-on accounting, financial analysis, and business partnering.


Key Responsibilities

* Ensure accurate and timely month-end close across five legal entities in the UK and Europe
* Approve payments in line with group policy, including payroll bank files
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities and geographies
* Manage full P&L and balance sheet for European subsidiaries, working with local accountants
* Raise intercompany recharges and reconcile intercompany balances monthly
* Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and deferred revenue
* Provide variance analysis and insights on monthly P&L results
* Support senior finance team with internal and external audit requirements
* Partner with HR, payroll, and project teams through monthly review meetings
* Assist operational teams with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis


Requirements

* Part-qualified accountant or currently studying (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT)
* 2–3 years' experience in a finance role with a focus on month-end accounting
* Strong Excel and accounting system skills
* Proven experience in intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries
* Ability to manage multiple P&Ls and work across multiple entities
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential due to office location)
* Exposure to project accounting, VAT, and audit processes
* 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
