Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standard of care. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with both clients and healthcare professionals will be crucial in delivering personalised care plans.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, adhering to care plans.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
* Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while promoting their independence.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and documentation.
