Bartlett Employee Benefits division is growing fast and looking for an ambitious, articulate and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive, with a strong track record, to support our continued growth. Working within our Business Development team, you will provide your colleagues with qualified appointments with prospective clients, sharing in the continued success of the business. Although experience within financial services is preferred, it is not essential. Bartlett has a history of developing exceptional talent from a variety of sectors and providing the training and support to allow everyone to reach their potential.
The responsibilities for the role are listed below:
Prospect Marketing
* Develop a thorough understanding of our products and services and what makes Bartlett an exceptional advisory firm for Employee Benefits (training is provided)
* Contact pre-identified prospective clients through outbound phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other marketing channels
* Support the sales team with marketing projects and campaigns
* Undertake research into prospective clients prior to initial and follow up contact
* Identify and proactively speak to the decision makers for Employee Benefits ensuring qualified, quality and productive meetings are set for the Business Development team
* Gather and log benefit sales USPs, renewal dates, existing broker relationships, annual premiums and fee/commission costs and any other relevant information to assist in the prospecting of target clients
* Arrange appointments for designated colleagues to visit prospective client or have an introductory Teams call
* Ensure an effective and prompt hand-over of prospective client information to the designated colleague
* Participate in new business initiatives, contributing ideas to these wherever possible
* Provide both positive and negative feedback and be entrepreneurial in how the multi-channel marketing process can be improved to increase prospect engagement
Pipeline Management
* Undertake prospect database cleansing activities
* Promptly and accurately update and maintain databases of prospective client data
* Manage a task and diary system, supporting the ongoing contact strategy for the prospective client database
* Ensure that all prospecting interactions are delivered in a timely manner
General Standards
* Maintain KPIs notified by line manager
* Ensure that you treat customers fairly, in accordance with the FCA’s TCF principles
* Present a positive and professional image of the Bartlett Group in all dealings with prospective clients, existing clients, suppliers and the public in general
* Maintain a positive and professional working relationships with colleagues
* Manage your own day-to-day activities efficiently and effectively
* Contribute to the smooth running of the department and the company, including participation in the Company’s internal audit procedures, where required
* Achieve and maintain the required level of Training & Competence
* To be aware of the relevant FCA regulations and to assist the Company in remaining compliant by working within Company procedures

* Prior experience within a telemarketing to role with demonstratable success
* You are a strong and articulate communicator with a proficient level of written and spoken English and grammar

* Curious to understand, improve and challenge/question where appropriate
* Experience of team environments and an understanding of the importance of the team and how together we will all support each other in being successful
* Being proactive in your thinking and how you can improve work tasks and support our busy team in being more efficient
* Ability to efficiently manage your own workload often without supervision
* Experience of working with CRM databases
* You are proficient in Word and Excel with strong organisational/administrative skills
* Ability to develop, nurture and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
