Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for operating Remotely Operated Vehicles, subsea tooling, IWOCS and RWOCS systems, tensioning and reel systems in a safe and efficient manner, and maintaining and repairing all electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and sub‑systems.
* Operate equipment including cameras, acoustic positioning systems, sonars, manipulators, LARS, hydraulic power units, and complex subsea tooling.
* Assist or pilot the ROV, evaluate environmental conditions, dock/undock from the tether management system, and navigate by acoustics, sonar, and visual.
* Perform maintenance and repairs on electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and use test equipment to calibrate and align equipment.
* Operate and repair electrical, hydraulic and direct hydraulic control systems that interface with pumps, valves and other hydraulic equipment.
* Operate sub‑sea navigation equipment such as magnetic compass, gyro, transducer, sonar, altimeter and survey equipment.
* Integrate and operate tooling including cutters, pump units, multipurpose skids, dredging systems and other sensors integrated to the ROV.
* Maintain parts and supplies inventory for all assemblies.
Supervisory responsibilities: none.
Qualifications
* High School Graduate or GED; Technical or Associates degree preferred.
* 12 months of formal mechanical and hydraulic training plus 12 months of formal electrical and electronics training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must be able to obtain a valid passport and any other offshore work requirements.
