Role Outline
We are looking for a friendly and approachable IT Systems and Support Engineer to join our operations team in Falmouth. You will be the primary point of contact for user support requests and will work closely with the DevOps team to develop, maintain, and enhance our user, workstation and network management, automation and security.

Main Responsibilities
* Internal user support
* Workstation purchasing, provisioning and management
* User accounts management
* Workstation cyber security
* Managing physical networking devices
* Developing and maintaining centralised management for all of the above
* Developing automated processes to reduce manual tasks
* Documentation and IT asset inventory
* Implementing IT compliance requirements
* Managing other IT appliances

Experience Requirements
Essential
* Windows and Ubuntu desktop support
* Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
* Centralised workstation and user identity management eg Active Directory
* Centralised antivirus management
* Configuring network equipment
* Installing workstation and laptop operating systems and drivers from scratch
* Understanding of essential networking services such as DHCP and DNS
Desirable
* MacOS support
* Linux server management
* Ansible or similar configuration management
* Windows group policy
* Automating the creation and installation of standardised OS images
* Good understanding of TCP/IP routing/subnetting
* Managing a VoIP phone system
Useful
* Working within an Agile/Scrum framework
* Linux shell scripting
* Powershell
* Terraform or similar infrastructure as code system

Enabling full 3D sequence programming, high-level function programming, cloud connection, remote support services, application of hardware and software defined hardware as well as low level hardware control, sensor and audio interfaces and much more.
