Role Description
We are seeking a Landfill Gas Manager to join our team in a full‑time, on‑site role covering our Northern Region. This region spans from Dunbar to Ipswich and includes three active landfill sites located in Bury, Chesterfield, and Ipswich. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians across the region, driving the optimisation of landfill gas collection for power generation. You will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, as well as managing projects such as the design and installation of gas collection systems and drilling projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a regional team of landfill gas technicians
* Optimise gas collection systems to maximise energy generation
* Ensure full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
* Oversee and deliver projects, including system design, installation, and drilling
* Monitor performance and implement continuous improvements
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in power generation and power plant operations
* Strong project management skills with a track record of successful delivery
* Proven leadership and supervisory experience
* In‑depth knowledge of landfill gas systems and regulatory requirements
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work on‑site and manage operational priorities effectively
* Extensive experience within the waste management or energy sector
