Join to apply for the Technical Project Manager role at TEKsystems
Location: Cardiff (5 days onsite)
Contract Duration: Until 31st March 2026 (with potential extension into mid-April and beyond)
Role Overview
This Cardiff-based role is part of a large-scale business separation programme, focused on migrating systems, data, and infrastructure to a new standalone environment. You’ll act as the on-site technical liaison, coordinating with remote teams and managing the execution of migration and BAU activities at the site level.
This is a fully onsite role combining L3 infrastructure engineering with project management. You’ll be the go-to person for technical escalations, project planning, and stakeholder coordination—especially as the site prepares for key cutover events in Q1 2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed project and programme plans across multiple migration streams
* Track progress using tools like burndown charts (e.g., endpoint migration of 400+ PCs)
* Manage ticket allocation, workload tracking, and stakeholder reporting
* Liaise with remote delivery managers and technical teams to ensure alignment and timely execution
* Experience coordinating with cross-functional technical teams
* Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
* Familiarity with PMO practices, ITIL, and Agile methodologies
* Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with no predefined playbook
Ideal Candidate Profile
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset—comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity
* Strong technical grounding with the ability to lead and manage infrastructure migrations
* Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to bridge gaps between corporate teams and site-level execution
* Previous experience in separation programmes or large-scale IT transformations is a plus
