St Pauls Chambers, a leading set of Barristers' Chambers in Leeds, is looking to recruit a clerk to join our professional and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career, or with some relevant experience, to become part of a respected legal environment.
About the Role
As a clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of Chambers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and is ready to take on real responsibility. Your work will help ensure the smooth running of legal services and client support.
This is a varied and hands-on position that includes; diary management, call handling, email management, court liaison, fee negotiation, case billing, credit chasing, printing, copying, and assembling document bundles from both digital and physical sources, monitoring and replenishing office and catering supplies, setting up conference rooms, assisting the marketing team with event preparation and general administrative tasks.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and well-presented individual who is eager to build a career in a professional services environment.
You will ideally:
Have A-levels or equivalent qualifications
Demonstrate initiative, organisation, and a strong work ethic
Communicate clearly and confidently, both in person and in writing
Be comfortable working under pressure and managing competing tasks
Show a tidy and methodical approach to your working environment
Previous experience in administration, customer service, or clerical work is desirable, but not essential — full training will be provided.
