Overview
The Department of Blood Transfusion is looking for a Quality Administrator who will work closely with the Quality Manager and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality services and patient safety.
Main Duties
* Compile reports for management meetings.
* Provide admin support for quality and training records (auditing, compiling, archiving).
* Perform data manipulation to produce quality/performance dashboards.
* Manage departmental quality databases daily.
* Assist with maintenance, calibration, and servicing of laboratory equipment, including acceptance testing.
* Act as system administrator for the electronic quality management system.
* Work with departmental leads to update the information on the Pathology Website.
* Help the department comply with accreditation requirements by developing fit‑for‑purpose quality systems and processes.
* Conduct root cause analysis during routine duties after training.
* Provide full clerical support: organise, sort, file documents; manage paper and electronic post; photocopy, fax, and distribute information.
* Support meetings (organise, arrange rooms and refreshments, assist with interpretation services, document minutes).
* Maintain and order stationery, office supplies, and petty cash documentation.
* Record staff leave, absence, and attendance, and coordinate staff training.
* Adhere to Trust policies (Data Protection, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, and other statutory guidelines).
* Maintain and develop the department’s website on the Trust intranet.
* Assist in distributing information across the Trust and other organisations.

Additional Requirements
* Must be willing to work within Trust policies (confidentiality, data protection, health and safety).
* Able to attend occasional early evening meetings.
* Willing to attend relevant training courses.
* Must have a strong awareness of and understanding of diversity and patient involvement.
Qualifications
* GCSE in English and Maths or Equivalent.
* Basic computer/typing qualifications.
