Overview
Maintenance/Driver role at The Marbrook Centre. Part-time position offering 25 hours per week (5 days per week, flexible between 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday). Salary: £15.50 per hour. The role helps ensure that the buildings and facilities are well maintained and operate smoothly for residents and staff.
Responsibilities
* Respond efficiently and appropriately to maintenance and repairs issues as they arise.
* Provide care, consideration, respect and companionship to residents while transporting them to and from their destinations.
* Present a positive and engaging attitude towards staff, residents, their families, and the public.
* Carry out routine building maintenance that can be done without contractors, drawing on professional experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc., and/or prior experience in a professional facilities maintenance environment.
* Provide a driving service using company vehicles (manual and automatic) to take residents to appointments and social visits, acting as a polite, compassionate, caring and efficient, but above all a safe driver.
* Build positive relationships with residents and staff; respond professionally and promptly to issues as they arise.
* Be on-call for maintenance emergencies as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Professional experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or related facilities maintenance areas is advantageous.
* Experience in a professional facilities maintenance environment is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; high integrity, calm, friendly, well organized.
* Willingness and ability to provide a driving service using company vehicles (manual and automatic) and to transport residents safely and respectfully.
* Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to a diverse and rewarding work environment.
