Senior Support Worker – Learning Disabilities (Full-Time, Day Shifts)
Location: Kings Norton, South Birmingham
Salary: £13.09 per hour (On-call rate: £14.09 per hour)
Are you an experienced support worker with a passion for helping adults with learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives? We’re looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our friendly team at our care home in Kings Norton, supporting adults aged 18+ with a range of learning disabilities, including autism.
About the Role:
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll take on a key role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered every day. You’ll support both our residents and our team—leading by example, assisting with care plans, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing hands-on support to residents, promoting independence and wellbeing
*
Leading and mentoring a team of support workers on shift
*
Supporting with care planning, record-keeping, and quality assurance
*
Liaising with families, professionals, and other stakeholders
*
Occasionally participating in the on-call rota (£14.09 per hour)
About You:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health and Social Care
*
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
*
Strong leadership and communication skills
*
A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
*
Flexibility to work full-time day shifts (occasional on-call duties may apply)
