ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to a healthy pipeline of work, my client is recruiting for a Project Manager who specialises in demolition activities within the heavy industrial sector (or example nuclear power stations, industrial units and substations). The initial project will be Aberthaw Power Station in South Wales which is programmed for 3 years.
As a Demolition Project Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to Operations Director and will be responsible for the onsite management of the project, ensuring it is managed within time and budget. You will have direct responsibility of all site staff, ensuring they are motivated and able to complete the task at hand. As a Demolition Project Manager you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations, and requirements and also you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.
REQUIREMENTS
Suitable professionals will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong history of working from site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years. This experience should have been gained whilst working for a reputable demolition contractor who work on technical heavy industrial projects in the UK.
Furthermore, you must be IT Literate, client facing, and hold a CCDO Black Manager Card as a minimum (membership on the IDE at any grade is highly desirable).
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £65,000 – £75,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.
Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes private health care, pension and all travel expenses will be covered. Additionally, if you don’t live within commutable distance from the project, full subsistence for working away from home will be provided.
