We’re looking for a Network Service Operator – Leakage to join our team in the West area. You’ll be part of the team monitoring and maintaining the water network, managing leakage and pressure to help keep water flowing reliably and efficiently. This role supports protecting our vital water supply and meeting regulatory targets, with safety, innovation, and best practice at the heart of what we do.
What you’ll do
* Maintain District Metered Area (DMA) meters and equipment, ensuring everything is working properly.
* Carry out leakage surveys and sweeps to monitor the network’s health.
* Isolate and re-commission parts of the distribution network and perform step testing to identify issues.
* Install and monitor leakage detection equipment, calibrate and repair loggers, meters, and other essential gear.
* Collect and interpret data from sources like Nightline data and DMA reports to spot potential leaks early.
* Set up, programme, and deploy data-logging devices to support this work.
* Occasionally participate in sampling when required.

* Quick learner to get to grips with existing and new computer systems.
* Excellent teamwork and collaboration with others to meet shared goals.
* Full UK Driving License is essential, as you’ll be out and about across the network.

Salary and eligibility
This role will be a Grade 5. If you’re new to Scottish Water, starting salary is £32,650, with performance-driven pay progression up to £38,610.
