We are looking for new additions to join our team to work at the modern leisure facilities within Chesterfield Borough Council. Duties include providing lifeguard cover, customer engagement, supervision, cleaning, equipment set ups, and membership sales. You must be a highly motivated, flexible and resourceful individual who can maintain a customer-focused approach to all our sport and leisure activities. The successful candidate must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard award. Further coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as we are looking for the right quality of individual. The post requires regular unsocial hours working including availability at evenings and weekends involving a variety of services and roles provided at all council’s sports and leisure venues within the Borough. We have 2 part time vacancies available. One post at 18 hours and 30 minutes per week and one post at 10 hours per week at Queens Park Sports Centre. Rota is as follows: 10 hour position – Same shifts every week: Thursday 3-9.30pm Sunday 4pm-7.30pm 18.5 hour position – 6 week rota Week 1: Thursday 6.30am-2pm and Friday 6.30am-2pm Week 2: Monday 2.30-10.15pm, Tuesday 2.30-10.15pm and Friday 2.30-10.15pm Week 3: Saturday 1-8.30pm and Sunday 12:-8.30pm Week 4: Monday 12-4pm, Wednesday 2-9.30pm, Thursday 2-9.30pm and Friday 2-9.30pm Week 5: Thursday 7-3pm and Friday 7-3pm Week 6: Saturday 8-4pm and Sunday 8.30-4pm The successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
