Are you an experienced marketing professional with a passion for the mortgage sector? Saffron Building Society is seeking a Mortgage Broker and Engagement Marketing Manager to lead our marketing strategy and execution for mortgage products and broker engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in a pivotal role while covering a 12‑month maternity leave.
About the Role
As the Mortgage Broker and Engagement Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving brand awareness amongst mortgage brokers for our brand, products and proposition. Your insight‑led campaigns will not only drive growth but also enhance our reputation in the competitive mortgage market. You’ll work closely with commercial stakeholders to develop strategies and tactics to make sure Saffron is top of mind for brokers with complex cases.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that promote our mortgage products and strengthen broker relationships. You’ll encourage and motivate teams to try new approaches and really stand‑out in the market.
* Campaign Management: Oversee campaign planning, content creation, and channel management across digital, print, social and event platforms.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Sales, and Compliance teams to ensure messaging is accurate, engaging, and compliant with regulatory standards.
* Engagement: Manage ad hoc broker communications, support intermediary events, and oversee marketing assets that highlight product features and service propositions.
* Performance Monitoring: Track campaign performance, optimise engagement strategies, and ensure timely delivery of marketing materials.
* Team Leadership: Coach/manage junior members of the marketing team, providing development opportunities and fostering a collaborative environment.

* Strong Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially sales teams, product managers and external agencies.
* Digital Fluency: You’ll be willing and able to get involved with key digital initiatives such as upgrading our website and improving our presence on social media channels.
* Creative Thinking: Innovative mindset to develop engaging marketing strategies across digital, social and events – and ability to measure results to learn fast.
* Expertise in Marketing: Proficiency in brand management, content creation and B2B marketing strategies.
