Title: Mobile Building Engineer – Wealstun

Base salary: £28,820.40 – £31,970.40, dependent on experience.
Hours: 39 hours per week, 08:00 – 17:00. 1 in 4 weekends on rota plus 15% allowance.
Driving licence: Full UK licence required. A van provided for business use.
Travel: cover approximately 6 establishments across Yorkshire and Humberside and may work at other sites as required.
What you will do
* Provide a variety of maintenance and reactive tasks in accordance with competency.
* Act as an Ambulant Practitioner in one or more principles across the region, with training provided.
* Follow Amey/MOJ/HMPPS security protocols, including tool management.
* Assist with escorting duties as required.
* Perform any other duties commensurate with the role.
What you will bring
* Full UK driving licence.
* Relevant NVQ or other qualifications within a maintenance discipline.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative and work at height.
* Good all‑round project management knowledge.
* Experience in Fire Door Maintenance, Fire Extinguisher Maintenance and Fire Alarm Core Points.
* Experience in Emergency Lighting, RCD and Water Temperature Testing.
* Basic IT skills.
* Basic Health and Safety knowledge.
* Knowledge of building and system compliance (training can be provided).
* Willingness to qualify for Amey Confined Spaces AP responsibilities.
* Experience working within a custodial environment (desirable).
Prison Security Clearance including DBS will be required. Amey will support you through this process.
