This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key player in shaping and developing sourcing strategies for critical commodities, contributing to competitive, robust, and resilient supply chains. You'll work within a collaborative team of 8 individuals, influencing global sourcing activities and leading major supply agreements. What you'll be doing: * Manage and define sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives * Lead the development of local Ecosystem strategies with cross-functional counterparts * Ensure cost transparency and manage spend effectively within your area of responsibility * Implement business-specific initiatives and measures based on commodity strategies * Maintain a competitive supply base and drive strategic procurement activities including negotiations, awarding strategies, and quarterly reviews * Prepare, negotiate, and manage frame contracts and price lists for strategic suppliers * Cultivate strong relationships with assigned strategic suppliers * Identify, document, and implement savings measures, tracking relevant KPIs * Drive early procurement and supplier involvement in cost reduction activities * Proactively identify and mitigate procurement risks and capitalize on opportunities * Share valuable supplier market insights and knowledge with stakeholders * Contribute to and drive supply/supplier management processes (qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification) What we're looking for: * Essential: * Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, systems and tools * Proven cost and risk management abilities * Strong commodity and product knowledge * Solid commercial acumen, including understanding of contract law and Terms & Conditions * Extensive experience in negotiations and supplier relations management * Extensive experience in an Operational role * Extensive Purchasing experience * Desirable: * SAP knowledge * A background in Manufacturing and Engineering or similar We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
