Whether it’s a family meal, drinks with friends, or a day of sports and racing, at The Gibson, we’re always ready to play. Now, we’re on the lookout for a hands-on and experienced Operations Manager to help us bring our venue to life and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily venue operations, leading our team across multiple departments (bar, kitchen, FOH), and maintaining a high standard of service, safety, and compliance. A few of your key responsibilities will include: Supervising day-to-day operations across all areas including bar, bistro, gaming, and facilities Leading and developing the team, including onboarding, training, and performance management Ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained at all times Supporting with rostering and team scheduling Managing stock control and inventory across bar and kitchen operations Maintaining venue presentation and ensuring compliance with health, safety, liquor, and gaming regulations Assisting with event coordination, promotions, and venue activations Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally and promptly Supporting administrative and financial tasks such as POS operation, cash handling, and reporting What we’re looking for: Experience in a similar operations or venue management role within hospitality or licensed clubs Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead from the front and support a growing team Sound knowledge of hospitality compliance requirements including liquor and gaming Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and deliver high service standards Confident with systems and processes including rostering, POS, and reporting Current RMLV, RSA, and RSG certifications About You: You’re a proactive and driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
