Capita Fire & Rescue (CFR) and the Fire Service College form a key business unit within Capita’s Defence and National Preparedness sector.
In 2019 CFR began the delivery of the Defence Fire and Rescue Project (DFRP) - a first generation outsource of core components of the MOD's Defence Fire and Rescue capability. Providing and managing fire and rescue services at MOD fire stations located predominantly in the UK and responsible for the provision of fire and rescue training and the delivery of a fire prevention agenda across the MOD estate.
We are looking for a Training Operations Manager to lead on and be accountable for commissioning and managing the design, scheduling and delivery of training in accordance with DFRP Contract requirements.
This is a home-based role with travel required to the Fire Service College, Moreton in Marsh for 2-3 days per week.

Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading on internal and client/customer-facing Training Governance
* Commissioning the design of training courses
* Ensuring all course design meet requirements, including DSAT compliance and relevant national fire regulation and guidance
* Overseeing and ensuring the delivery of Defence Fire and Rescue Training in compliance with the Training Requirements Authority’s specific requirements
* Attending meetings for Training Review Boards and Training Withdrawal Boards
What we’re looking for:
* Experience of commissioning complex training design and delivery requirements
* Expert working knowledge of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
* Experience of managing large complex contracts, including financial management
* Ability to gain and maintain SC security clearance
* Must be available to work at the Fire Service College, Moreton in Marsh for 2-3 times per week (accommodation available on site if required for these days)
