<h3>Specialist Biomedical Scientist | The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust</h3><p><strong>Employer:</strong></p><p>Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust</p><p><strong>Location:</strong></p><p>Shrewsbury, SY38XQ</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong></p><p><strong>Contract Type:</strong></p><p>Contract</p><p><strong>Hours:</strong></p><p>Full time</p><p><strong>Disability Confident:</strong></p><p>No</p><p><strong>Closing Date:</strong></p><p>01/04/2026</p><h3>About this job</h3><p>ICE/LIMS Project - 6 month fixed term/secondment We are looking for an enthusiastic,HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist,with relevant post-registration experience to join the Blood Sciences team inHaematology, Blood Transfusion or Biochemistryat The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.</p><p>Band 5 Trainees will be considered We would like to appoint a suitably qualified Biomedical Scientist, to assist with the provision of a diagnostic service and support the delivery of a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week service as part of a<br>37.5 hour working week</p><p>including evenings, nights, weekends and bank/public holidays.</p><p>You will provide essential support to the team throughout the ICE/LIMS replacement project.</p><p>The successful candidate will be expected to train in relevant disciplines and to rotate through sections of the department.</p><p>You may be required to work on any of our other sites, as the need arises.</p><p>The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital (SaTH) Pathology Services are accredited to UKAS standards.</p><p>The Biochemistry section is equipped with Roche Cobas 8000 analysers and Roche pre-analytics and middleware.</p><p>The Haematology section is equipped with a Sysmex XN and CN6000 analysers.</p><p>Automated Biorad Equipment is in use in the Blood Transfusion Department.</p><p>All sections are currently undergoing an equipment refresh .
