Automotive Electrician Technician
1. Location: Coventry
2. Salary: Attractive package dependent on skills and experience
3. Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
4. Holiday: 28 days per year
Our client, a specialist classic car restoration workshop, is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician Technician to join their passionate and highly skilled team. This is a rare opportunity for a technician with a love of vintage vehicles and a strong practical knowledge of classic car electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, particularly on classic vehicles.
6. Support mechanical restoration work, including engine building and fault finding.
7. Apply good knowledge of carburettor fuel systems and distributor-type ignition systems.
8. Contribute to the restoration of transmissions, braking, and suspension systems.
9. Solve technical problems using excellent engineering practice.
10. Work collaboratively within a small, skilled team to deliver high-quality restorations.
About You:
11. Extensive experience with automotive electrical systems, ideally on classic cars.
12. Knowledge of traditional petrol engines, carburettor fuel systems, and distributor ignition systems.
13. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and engineering skills.
14. Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
15. Self-motivated, committed to quality, and passionate about classic cars.
