Overview
Join to apply for the Group Payroll Administrator (FTC) role at Carey Olsen. This is a 6 month fixed term contract role based in one of our offices in Southampton, Guernsey or Jersey.
The post holder will be responsible for processing weekly and monthly in-house payrolls and liaising with our global payroll bureau regarding outsourced payrolls, working closely with the HR team to ensure a smooth and efficient payroll service to the business.
Responsibilities
* Process monthly payroll for in-house and outsourced payrolls
* Review employment activities that may affect payroll variances (joiners, leavers, overtime, hours variation, pay review, bonus, tax changes, maternity pay, sick pay, unpaid leave, etc.)
* Manage central payroll inbox to ensure changes are collated by the relevant payroll cut-off date
* Prepare calculations for each variation of pay using existing systems or manual calculation
* Run gross-to-net and pay period comparison reports and review variances from the previous pay period
* Obtain the required four-eye checks and approvals
* Address issues raised at review prior to sign-off
* Pass the signed-off payroll bundle to finance for final approval and execution
* Resolve payroll issues identified at processing
* Maintain payroll process notes
* Investigate employee pay issues
* Identify temps and students for weekly pay, prepare calculations, obtain checks and approvals, and submit to Finance for execution
Qualifications
* Payroll administration processing experience (essential)
* Strong numerical aptitude and good academic background
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
