Your role
* Assess customer needs, update support plans, and signpost to education, training, and employment
* Support customers with daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning
* Offer advice to help customers meet tenancy conditions
* Assist with managing finances and welfare benefits
* Promote social inclusion and help build confidence and resilience
* Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met
(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).
Your skills
* Experience working with vulnerable people
* Positive approach to supporting young people with varied needs
* Strong interpersonal and customer care skills
* Effective communication and ability to work on your own initiative
* Knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment, and safeguarding
* Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
