Overview
We're seeking an experienced Broadcast Journalist/Producer to lead our client's daily live news programming focused on financial services. You'll produce and present live bulletins, book guest interviews, and create compelling market-focused content for a global audience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and write daily live bulletins (10am, 12pm, 4:30pm UK time) covering market movements and financial sector news
Book and coordinate external/internal guests for live interviews on energy markets and financial sectors
Work directly with internal analysts and researchers to produce bespoke shows minutes) on markets, hedging, and energy topics
Liaise with external content providers on global coverage (OPEC, G7, G20, COP meetings)
Deputize for Head of News when on leave - hosting studio shows
Deliver polished, informative content under tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment
What We're Looking For
3+ years in financial broadcast journalism (Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, Sky News Business or similar)
Strong understanding of financial markets and energy sectors
Experience producing live studio shows and managing guest bookings
Ability to write and present market commentary with accuracy and impact
Comfortable working in a 24/7 news-like setting with real-time market data
Bonus Points
● Experience with live streaming platforms or broadcast technology
● Background in commodities/energy journalism specifically
● Studio hosting or presenting experience
