About the Role
We are recruiting Specialist Mental Health Mentors in Stirling to support students with diagnosed mental health conditions at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You'll meet students one-to-one, in person, delivering practical strategies and reflective support that reduce barriers to learning, build independence and improve wellbeing. This is a flexible, term-time role with a competitive rate of £25.00 – £27:00 per hour, plus holiday pay, pension, sick pay and clinical supervision. We welcome applicants able to commit to 25+ hours per week during term time.

About You
* Accredited mental health practitioner (e.g., MBACP, UKCP, HCPC, RMN/NMC, Social Work England, OT, Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Psychologist)
* Honours degree (any subject)
* Minimum 1 year's post-qualifying experience with young people or adults with mental health conditions
* Strong skills in risk awareness, reflective practice and practical strategy work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to disability equity and inclusive education
* Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
* Confidence working with diverse and multicultural communities
What You'll Do
* Provide one-to-one mentoring for students with diagnosed mental health conditions
* Help students manage the impact of their condition on study and daily life
* Promote independence, resilience and wellbeing
* Support organisation, time-management and study strategies
* Monitor wellbeing, assess risk and escalate appropriately
* Maintain clear, GDPR-compliant records
* Liaise with HEIs, GPs and other professionals where needed
