The Company:
The company is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to join its compliance function. This is a key support role assisting the Chief Compliance Officer and wider team with client due diligence (CDD) and onboarding processes, as the firm continues to grow. The firm is supervised for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) by a recognised UK regulatory body.
Responsibilities:
* Client Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new clients by opening client files, preparing engagement documentation, collecting and verifying KYC information, and ensuring compliance with AML policies.
* AML Risk Assessments:Support the identification and escalation of higher-risk clients and scenarios requiring enhanced due diligence.
* Data Management: Maintain accurate and current records within CRM systems and compliance registers.
* Policy Adherence: Ensure all onboarding and KYC activities are carried out in accordance with internal procedures and applicable AML guidance for accountancy and professional services.
* KYC Reviews & Monitoring: Conduct regular and event-triggered KYC reviews for existing clients to ensure continued compliance.
* Ad-Hoc Compliance Support: Assist with additional compliance-related tasks as needed, including preparation for audits and internal reviews.
Requirements:
* Experience within professional services, tax, or financial services, is preferred. However, candidates with a strong interest and aptitude to grow in this area will also be considered.
* A strong willingness to learn AML and CDD requirements within the UK regulatory framework.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow instructions, and work with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Professional, approachable, and confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
