The Opportunity:
This is an exceptional opportunity to further develop your technical and consulting skills within a leading global firm. As a MI & Analytics Assistant Manager, you will:
1. Work closely with diverse teams across our learning business, providing data-driven solutions to our clients and learning business.
2. Build relationships with our clients and become a key reporting contact for some of our larger managed learning services clients.
3. Become an SME for data and reporting within our business and act as MI workstreams lead on projects.
4. Support senior team members in presenting deliverables to clients.
5. Contribute to our business development initiatives and growth aspirations.
6. Play a vital role in the development of the team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
As a role model, the MI & Analytics Assistant Manager must embody and demonstrate a commitment toward the accomplishment of the team’s goals.
Your work will be varied and impactful, including:
7. Designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of reports for key stakeholders and clients, covering daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles.
8. Creating and maintaining bespoke client dashboards using visualisation and analytical software, predominantly Power BI.
9. Conducting ad-hoc analysis and providing data to enable informed decision-making, with a focus on transitioning these into long-term reporting capabilities.
10. Managing data quality initiatives to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all reports.
11. Developing tactical solutions to automate reporting processes and building robust data models to support analytics deliverables.
12. Understanding the relationship between business processes and data flows and working with stakeholders to resolve reporting issues.
13. Managing client access to external reporting, ensuring compliance with security and contractual requirements.
Leadership & Management:
The Analyst will be responsible for knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices within the team and to junior colleagues.
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
The nature of this role will have an important client facing aspect, so strong relationship building skills will be required.
Essential skills & experience
14. Demonstratable experience in a reporting development role, ideally within a Management Information, Business Intelligence or Data and Analytics team.
15. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions.
16. Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and T-SQL querying.
17. Proven experience in designing and creating interactive dashboards in Power BI.
18. Strong analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
19. Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
20. Ability to quickly assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge.
21. Experience in gathering business requirements to achieve reporting objectives.
22. Due to the nature of the work, applicants should either hold or be capable of obtaining UK security clearance.
