ABC Teachers are proud to be recruiting for a SEND PE Specialist Instructor on behalf of a specialist academy in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons and activities
2. Adapt sports and physical activities to meet learners’ individual needs
3. Assess, monitor and track learner progress in PE and physical development
4. Provide regular feedback to learners and colleagues
5. Support EHCP targets and personalised learning plans related to physical development
6. Build positive relationships with staff, families and external agencies
7. Contribute to curriculum development and wider academy life
8. Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing standards are upheld
About the school
ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated SEND PE Specialist Instructor to deliver high-quality, inclusive physical education. You will support students’ physical development, wellbeing, and personal progress through adapted sports and activities, ongoing assessment, and collaboration with colleagues and families. The role involves planning, tracking progress, and creating a safe, engaging environment that promotes confidence, teamwork, and independence.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of PE Instructor you will:
9. Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or above
10. GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above)
11. Experience delivering PE to SEND learners (SLD, ASC, PMLD or Post-16)
12. Strong communication and organisational skills
13. Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety

Salary
£30,000 to £34,000 per year
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
