Join to apply for the Specialist Physiotherapist role at NHS Scotland in the Acute Medical Team at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The post is a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist with potential focus in general internal medicine or frailty, or flexible across both areas depending on experience and career aspirations. The team works across General Internal Medicine, Acute Frailty, and Specialist Medical Services, with a weekend working commitment focused on front-door areas including ED, Acute Admissions and short stay units.
The role offers a chance to develop clinical expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment while contributing to safe, effective, and person-centred care. The team is committed to high-quality, evidence-based practice and rapid assessment, rehabilitation and safe discharge of patients in acute medicine.
Responsibilities
* Provide rapid assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge for patients in acute medicine.
* Contribute to the development of physiotherapy pathways within your chosen specialty.
* Provide clinical supervision and teaching for colleagues and students.
* Take part in service and quality improvement initiatives.
