Salary: GBP 37:47,000 (dependent on experience)
A long-established architectural and surveying practice is looking for a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technician to strengthen its Kent‑based team. This role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, spanning residential, commercial and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on delivering precise technical design and robust construction information.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed technical drawings, BIM models and construction information across all project stages
* Ensure design outputs align with current legislation, UK building regulations and structural/services requirements
* Collaborate with architects, surveyors, clients and external consultants to develop practical and well‑resolved design solutions
* Guide and support junior team members, promoting best practice in drawing standards and workflow efficiency
* Assist in preparing tender documentation, specifications and contract‑related material when needed
* Contribute to sustainable design initiatives and help strengthen digital processes within the studio
Candidate Profile
* Established experience as a Senior Architectural Technician within an architectural or multidisciplinary practice
* Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations, BIM protocols and construction detailing
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with excellent technical drawing and modelling capability
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail across all documentation
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
* Ability to balance workloads, prioritise effectively and manage multiple live projects
* Must be based in Kent or within comfortable commuting distance
