Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Falmouth for an Executive Head Chef at St Michaels Resort. The Executive Head Chef will oversee all culinary operations, including menu development, food preparation, and kitchen management. Responsibilities include leading the kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food presentation, maintaining food safety standards, and managing inventory and supplier relationships. The role requires creativity, leadership, and collaboration with other departments to maintain the resort's high dining standards and exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in culinary arts, menu creation, and fine dining
Strong leadership, team management, and staff training capabilities
Expertise in maintaining food safety standards, quality control, and inventory management
Creativity in developing innovative and seasonal menus
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and local, sustainable ingredients is a plus
Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred
