Prospero Teaching is recruiting a passionate and qualified Science Teacher for a Good-rated (Ofsted) secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire.

While there is a sixth form, the role primarily involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, with some flexibility depending on departmental needs and your area of specialism.
Role Details:
1. Position: Science Teacher
2. Location: Southampton, Hampshire
3. Start Date: 3rd September 2025
4. Duration: 1-Year Fixed Term (with potential to extend or move to a permanent role)
5. Contract Type: Full-Time
6. Working Hours: 8:30 AM 4:00 PM, including parents’ evenings
7. Pay: From £ per day
Candidate Requirements:
8. Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
9. Experience: Minimum 1 year of Science teaching experience in the UK
10. Subject Specialism: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science
11. Training: Up-to-date Safeguarding training completed within the last 12 months
Compliance:
12. Right to work in the UK
13. Enhanced DBS certificate (on the update service or willing to apply)
14. Two child-related professional references covering the last 2 years
