Retail Store Manager - Jollyes The Pet People - Eccles. Salary £33,873 - £38,463 p.a. + bonus potential of £2-10k p.a.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the store, including team management, store standards, stock management and delivering excellent customer service to our pet parents. Report to your Regional Manager and lead by example, creating an excellent culture and working environment for your team, demonstrating our values of being: Genuine, Wise, Eager, Focused, Together.
* Take full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store. Manage KPIs around people, store standards, customer service standards and financial performance, maximising turnover and gross margin while controlling costs. Ensure you and your team deliver the highest standards of pet care and that the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership.
* Provide exceptional customer service by delivering a great shopping experience and demonstrating strong pet and product knowledge. (Training given)
* Recruit, motivate, train and develop your team; review and manage performance. Promote Jollyes as an employer of choice within your local community. Ensure clear communication of key business updates and individual and team objectives.
* Be accountable for health & safety and legal compliance; develop and implement succession plans to grow future leaders and ensure high-performing, highly engaged teams. Manage P&L and demonstrate commercial awareness and proactive cost management.
* Full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
Qualifications
* A passion for pets and people. Delighting customers by ensuring an unrivalled shopping experience.
* Previous retail store management experience with a hands-on approach to daily business management and activity planning for short, medium and long-term success.
* Strong decision-making ability, effective communication of objectives, and track record of building high-performing and engaged teams with clear succession plans.
* Proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, maintaining high store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
* Commercial awareness with ability to manage P&L and a proactive approach.
