Personal Assistant (ngavie) – GCIL ED LP/YB.01.25

Caring, reliable and calm person required to support an 8‑year‑old non‑verbal autistic boy living in Milngavie. He is very energetic and loves walks around the village, visits to Tesco and jumping on his trampoline. He can also be content for periods of quiet time on his iPad.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to access leisure and outdoor activities.
* Support development of friendships in the local community.
Working Hours & Compensation
4 hours per week – preferably 2 hours each on Saturday and Sunday (with flexibility to be discussed at interview). Plus an additional 3 hours per week during 13 weeks of school holiday.
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Physically fit, responsible adult.
* Patience and aptitude to develop a relationship with a child who communicates and socialises differently.
* PVG Scheme membership or PVG Scheme Update required by the successful applicant.
