Our school, located in St Helens, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN teacher to join their dynamic team. As an SEN teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students aged 3 to 16 years who have a range of special educational needs, including PMLD, MLD, SLD, autism, and ADHD.
Responsibilities
1. Provide personalised support and create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual needs
2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
3. Implement strategies to promote student's personal and academic growth
4. Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
5. Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines when required
6. Plan and organise educational trips and activities to enhance student's learning experience
Requirements
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in Special Education
8. Experience working with students with special educational needs
9. A deep understanding of various learning difficulties and strategies to support student's needs
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs
