JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
WPI has multiple custodial openings across a variety of shifts, offering flexibility to fit different schedules. These union positions provide excellent benefits and long-term stability. In this role, you will perform custodial services in both academic and non-academic campus buildings, maintaining assigned areas and equipment in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition while supporting a welcoming campus environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
1. Receives assignments in either a verbal or written form from a supervisor.
2. Follows a routine schedule utilizing approved procedures. Maintains various flooring types, dusts and washes walls, partitions, windows; maintains bathrooms, showers, locker rooms and other similar facilities. Removes trash and other related duties as assigned.
3. Is responsible, as assigned, for unlocking and locking various interior and exterior building doors.
4. Operates and maintains power operated custodial equipment.
5. Moves and relocates furniture, small equipment, and belongings not characteristic of rigging.
6. During winter, clears snow and debris from steps and sidewalks and treats ice.
7. For sponsored events, sets up, assists, and returns campus facilities to their original state of use.
8. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
Requirements:
9. High School Education or GED
10. Successful candidates will need to pass a CORI check and driver’s license check.
11. Ability to use various types of cleaning equipment, both powered and non-powered.
12. Three professional references required.
Compensation:
