Overview
KIPP Massachusetts is seeking a committed, ambitious, and culturally competent School Psychologist to join our vibrant educational team. The School Psychologist plays a critical role in advancing student achievement through high-quality consultation, assessment, and intervention services. Reporting to the Director of Special Education, this role supports all KIPP MA schools and contributes meaningfully to our mission: ensuring that every child is affirmed, valued, and challenged every day.
Compensation
Base pay range
$55,000.00/yr - $89,500.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
* Consultation, Assessment, and Intervention
o Evaluate and screen students to assess cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
o Write comprehensive evaluation reports for IEPs and reevaluations
o Maintain accurate logs and ongoing assessments to monitor student progress
o Deliver crisis response and intervention services as needed
o Routinely gather evidence of positive outcomes from psychological services
o Review developmental history and select evidence-based psychological interventions
o Caseload Expectation: Up to 10 evaluation reports per month. Reports beyond this limit may be outsourced or deferred.
* Student and Family Engagement
o Collaborate with IEP Teams to develop high-quality annual and triennial IEPs
o Attend family conferences and support caregivers in understanding student needs
o Conduct home visits and collaborate with families to drive behavioral improvements
o Coordinate with outside providers (e.g., pediatricians, DCF, DMH) to support student success
* School and Community Support
o Consult with teachers on student progress and behavior management techniques
o Assist with designing individualized behavior plans
o Meet all federal/state mandates and participate in required meetings (IEPs, mediation, etc.)
o Complete Medicaid documentation for eligible services
* General Requirements
o Demonstrate emotional intelligence, flexibility, and self-awareness in student-facing work
o Build authentic, culturally responsive relationships with students, staff, and families
o Communicate effectively across mediums and settings (written, in-person, virtual)
o Maintain physical mobility and strength to support student safety and perform all duties (e.g., lifting up to 20 lbs., restraint in emergencies)
o Perform assigned duties with professionalism and discretion
o Participate in regional professional development and school-wide events
Qualifications
* Strong alignment with KIPP MA’s mission and values, including a deep belief in the potential of all students
* Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from a NASP-accredited program (including a 1,200-hour practicum with 600+ hours in a school)
* Experience with Special Education processes and compliance
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Computer literacy, including familiarity with Google Suite
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, student-centered environment
* Spanish or Haitian Creole fluency strongly preferred
* Must pass all required criminal background checks

* Base Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 (based on experience and licensure)
* $1,000 signing bonus in year one
* $2,000 annual retention bonus (starting in year two)
