Overview
The Primary Care Pharmacy Technician will work alongside the practice Clinical Pharmacist to support the clinical team in all aspects of prescribing and medicines safety. The role supports improvements to maximise safe best‑practice prescribing and improve patient care quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Point of contact for patient enquiries regarding prescriptions.
* Effective medicines reconciliation on discharge and other transfers of care.
* Identify patients suitable for repeat dispensing.
* Assist in monitoring high‑risk drugs.
* Handle prescription queries within competence.
* Train and develop practice‑based prescribing clerks and administrators to improve coordination and pharmacy administration, especially for repeat prescribing systems.
Additional Information
* Maternity cover for a minimum of 9 months.
* 18 hours a week—working 9 hours on a Thursday and Friday, commencing February 2026.
