Job Title: Paralegal (FTC 6-months with the possibility to extend)
Location: Remote (with some travel to Reading or London and occasionally Chepstow)

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive in-house paralegal to join our legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role will be focused on supporting the commercial and corporate law functions within the business, with an emphasis on facilitating key business transactions, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including external legal advisers, playing a critical role in helping the company achieve its strategic goals.
Duties
* Assist with commercial contracts, including Non-Disclosure Agreements, supply agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with UK law and internal policies.
* Assist with the preparation of reports, legal memos, and internal communications to ensure compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.
* Maintain an organised record-keeping system for legal documents and correspondence, ensuring commercial and corporate documents are properly executed and filed.
* Administer and adapt templates as directed for a variety of commercial contracts.
* Manage schedules for meetings, deadlines, and filings using Outlook and other office software.
* Support the legal team in handling dispute resolution, including managing correspondence, liaising with external legal advisors, and preparing documentation.
* Respond to first line legal queries and support the legal function to establish itself as a visible and effective strategic partner to the business
* Conduct research as required to monitor regulatory changes within the telecoms industry.
* Provide legal support on corporate governance matters, from time to time as required.
Additional responsibilities or functions as may be required from time to time to support the business.
* Previous experience, ideally 2+ years, in house or with a law firm in a commercially focused role.
* Experience of the telecoms sector a bonus.
* Understanding of commercial contracts, contract law, corporate governance and regulatory compliance including data protection. Excellent administrative, organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in legal research tools and ideally contract management systems.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and understanding what kind of matters to escalate to the General Counsel
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
