Our Team: Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations.
We are looking for individuals with an athlete's mindset—those who persevere and see limits as challenges to overcome—to join us in making motorsport history.
This position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.
Your responsibilities include working on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance engine, focusing on maximizing performance and efficiency in combustion, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. Your tasks involve development during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.
Your Mission:
* Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
* Conduct thermodynamic development of the engine's gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
* Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper documentation
* Correlate simulation data with measurement data from engine tests and testbenches
* Develop processes and improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and testing
Your Profile:
* Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
* Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation
* Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development toolchains
* Experience handling data from testbenches
* Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
* Independent and precise working style
* Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language is a plus
