Founded in, the company has recently transitioned back to private ownership after acquisition by Fortress Investment Group and has undergone significant transformation, including record market share growth, a new website, and six new stores, with more planned over the next five years. We offer over 1, different wines, spirits, and beers online and in-store, supported by over 1, WSET-trained staff providing knowledgeable service.
The Role
As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development program to gain comprehensive operational, service, and leadership experience, preparing you to become a Store Manager. You will follow a structured training pathway with support from your Store Manager to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic Wine, our customers are central. Your role will be to represent the store positively, support the team in delivering excellent shopping experiences, and drive store performance by maximizing sales and KPI achievements.
Provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business, including offering VIP concierge services and proactive communication about products and tastings.
Promote and share your passion for products, manage tasting events, and maintain a compelling tasting counter.
Enhance your wine knowledge to support your WSET qualifications and confidently sell products.
Maintain the store’s appearance and operational standards, from stock deliveries to customer outreach to boost sales.
Identify operational improvements and ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.
Take ownership of your development and support junior team members by exemplifying Majestic’s values and practices.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Experience in fast-paced retail or hospitality environments, delivering excellent customer service, and problem-solving under pressure.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude, adaptable, resilient, and skilled in communication and time management.
Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn and pass WSET levels 2 & 3 is essential.
Full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
