Since 2016, TBBT has supported over 100,000 people through 145+ community hubs across the North of England. Their mission is simple: make life more affordable, build stronger communities, and reduce food waste.
With an annual income of ~£6m and ambitious plans to scale nationally, TBBT is transforming how surplus food is redistributed.
The Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of TBBT’s operations. Based at the Eccles depot, you’ll manage a small food team and act as the main point of contact for suppliers and logistics partners. You’ll bring structure and calm to a busy environment, ensuring food flows smoothly into the organisation while building strong supplier relationships and embedding a culture of professionalism and care.

What You’ll Do
Lead and develop the food team
Manage the sourcing, goods-in, and logistics functions day-to-day
Coach and support colleagues, embedding clear and respectful communication
Act as the main operational contact for suppliers, retailers, and hauliers
Manage onboarding, issue resolution, and performance feedback
Drive improvements in goods-in processes (labelling, Dynamics integration, data accuracy)
Identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and waste reduction
Ensure compliance and traceability with Finance and IT teams
Represent TBBT externally during supplier visits and sector communicationsWhat You’ll Bring

Comfortable in depot environments and credible with senior stakeholders
Must be confident working in fast paced environments
